Qualifications:

Experience:

Sanisha joined RMB Asset Management in February 2008 as an Economic Analyst. Appointed as an Economist at Momentum Asset Management 2012, she was responsible for developing and managing a best practice framework for integrating key macroeconomic inputs and trend shifts that best inform an optimal asset allocation process in partnership with the strategist, portfolio managers, portfolio construction, fixed income and equity research teams. Since August 2015, Sanisha has provided input for the Momentum Investments division within a macro framework to inform investment opportunities and strategies, taking account of the changing investment and economic narrative in South Africa and globally. She was appointed as Chief Economist for Momentum Investments in July 2024 and then promoted to Group Economist in Momentum Group in February 2026. She served on the Momentum Investments Employment Equity Forum for ten years, serving as Chair for the past two years as well as Deputy Chair of the Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Group Employment Equity Forum. She was recently appointed as a board member for the CFA Society South Africa. Sanisha is also a regular economic commentator on key media platforms, including a monthly columnist of the Financial Mail.

Chiedza Madzima

Chiedza specialises in Emerging Markets macro risk. She joined Fitch Solutions in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience in risk and supply chain management within the Southern Africa region. She holds degrees in Actuarial Mathematics and Financial Engineering, as well as Business Management and Statistics, both from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Chiedza has been featured in various regional and global news media, including Bloomberg, Africa Report, Quartz, BusinessDay, Engineering News, News24, and Africa Business Magazine.

Jithen Pillay

Jithen joined Allan Gray in 2013 as a CA trainee before joining the Investment team as an analyst. He was appointed as a portfolio manager in December 2023 and currently manages portions of the equity and domestic balanced mandates. Jithen is a director of Allan Gray Proprietary Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Finance and Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, both from the University of Cape Town. Jithen is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and a CFA® charterholder.

Cor Booysen

Cor started his career in the mining industry in 1996 as an engineer for De Beers. Between 2000 and 2008 he was involved in management consulting, working for Bain & Company and Seabury Group where he advised corporations in Johannesburg, New York and Sydney on strategy, operational optimisation and revenue enhancement. During this time, he gained in-depth knowledge of the mining, telecommunication, aviation, public sector and manufacturing industries.

Cor Booysen moved to the fund management industry in 2008, where he was head of resources and a fund manager at RMB Asset Management, and a subsequently as sell-side analyst for HSBC, covering the platinum and diversified mining sector. In 2012 Cor joined Fairtree to co-manage the Fairtree Equity Prescient Fund. Cor is also Head of Research.

Simon Fillmore

Chief Investment Officer at Independent Securities since April 2022. Prior to that he was the CEO of Independent Securities for 14 years where he focused on growing the private client book, with an emphasis on offshore investments. Worked as a sell-side analyst for six years specialising in free-cash-flow equity valuations on JSE listed companies. Spent a few years with BlackRock in London as a global investment analyst.

Nicholas Hops

Nicholas is Head of South African Equity Research and a portfolio manager in the South African equity team at Coronation.

He co-manages Coronation’s Aggressive Equity and Managed Strategy, the Coronation Top 20, Market Plus, Industrial and Resources unit trusts. He joined Coronation in 2014 and has 12 years’ investment experience.

Louis Kruger

Louis joined 36ONE in September 2017 as an Investment Analyst. Currently with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Louis was previously from G3 Fund Management, which he co-founded in 2011. Prior to G3, Louis spent 6 years at AMB Capital, helping set up and run their hedge fund offering. Louis holds a B.Com (Hons) (UPE), is a CA (SA), as well as a CFA.

Glenn heads the GIB Financial Services management team responsible for steering business growth locally and within the firm’s international network partnership structure, operational in over 200 countries worldwide. Glenn is responsible for the divisions which specialise in Retirement Fund Services, Benefit Design, Regulation 28 Portfolio Construction, as well as other related Financial and Investment Services.

Pieter Du Toit

Pieter du Toit is a journalist at News24, South Africa’s foremost news publication. As assistant editor, he oversees the investigative team and writes a weekly column on politics and society. He has been a journalist for more than 20 years and worked as a sub-editor at Volksblad in Bloemfontein, a crime reporter at Beeld in Pretoria, and the latter newspaper’s parliamentary correspondent in Cape Town for five years. After stints as news editor at Beeld and Netwerk24, he was appointed deputy editor and eventually editor of the now defunct Huffington Post South Africa. He has been with News24 since 2018.

He is the author of The Dark Prince (2025), about Deputy President Paul Mashatile's network of patronage and his political ambitions.

His previous books are Enemy of the People: How Jacob Zuma Stole South Africa and How the People Fought Back (2017, with Adriaan Basson), The Stellenbosch Mafia: Inside the Billionaires’ Club (2019); The ANC Billionaires: Big Capital’s Gambit and the Rise of the Few (2022) and The Super Cadres: ANC Misrule in the Age of Deployment (2024).

The Stellenbosch Mafia and The ANC Billionaires were bestsellers and occupied the number one position on the Nielsen BookScan sales charts.

The Stellenbosch Mafia was voted the non-fiction book of the year by the South African Booksellers Association in 2020. The ANC Billionaires was included in the nonfiction longlist for the Sunday Times Literary Awards in 2023.

Du Toit went to school and university in Stellenbosch. He lives in Johannesburg with his wife and two sons.
